Nine Worlds Ensemble
The Group:
Nine Worlds Ensemble is the chamber group I direct, compose, produce, and play mallet percussion in. It’s a unique instrumentation of: violin, mallet percussion, acoustic guitar, piano, upright bass, and hybrid world percussion. The music I compose for the group draws influences from classical chamber music, film and game scores, jazz, pop music, world music, and more.
The group’s most recent album, “Realms,” released in 2020, is inspired by the nine realms of Norse Mythology, which is also the inspiration for the name of the ensemble.
Our first album, “The Seasons,” released in 2016, from draws its inspiration from nature. It is a double album of 4 EPs, Winter, Spring, Summer and Fall. We have worked in partnerships with dance groups that have choreographed the music throughout Chicagoland.
